Utilisation
The sliding-vane pumps are especially used for pumping of volatile liquids such as petrol, benzol, fuel oil and other liquid fuels and also tar, oil, cold and hot water. They are also used as evacuation pumps for centrifugal sets and their suction piping. As the operating surfaces of the sliding-vane pumps are metallic the pumps can be used also for delivery of clear liquids without any abrasive and solid particles (sand etc.).
Technical description
The precisely worked rotary vane rotates in conical body together with shaft and stationary suction bridge. The shaft is bedded in bearing and bushing of the stuffing box. In the suction bridge and also in the vane there are ground flap valves. The vane and the suction bridge divide the body space into three parts. At one stroke one half of the vane pumps the liquid and the other one delivers. The body is covered with a gland follower with its sealing space. The pump is provided with two fixing plates for attachment to a vertical wall, bracket or other structure.
Material
The body is made of grey cast iron, shaft of steel, vane, bridge and flap valves of brass.
