Utilisation

The submersible sludge KDFU pumps are used especially in building industry since they are an ideal pumping equipment to drain a building site at earthworks, to remove rain and seepage water from cellars, basements, canals etc. The pumps structure is modified to reliable pumping of sludge and mechanically polluted water with pH value from 5 to 7,5 and content of very abrasive substances such as sand, grit, clay etc. with grain size up to 5 mm and weight share up to 30%.

Technical description

The KDFU pumps are in single-staged centrifugal modification coupled with an electric motor in one compact and portable unit. The whole waterproof set is seated in outside casing so that the pumped water flows between the inside and outside casings to the delivery branch. Suction cover, back packing piece and diffuser are rubber-coated. The open impeller is overhung on an extended shaft of the electric motor seated in ball bearings with long-term grease charge.

Material

The KDFU pumps are made of cast iron.

Stuffing box

The electric motor is sealed by means of mechanical stuffing seals and two packing rings with permanent oil charge.
