Utilisation

The CVE pumps are designed for delivery of clear water with temperature up to 80°C and pH value raging from 6 to 11 and according to material also for pumping of slightly polluted and turbid water with content up to 1% volume of sludge with non-abrasive solid particles and with max. grain size of 0,5 mm.

Technical description

The multistage centrifugal horizontal pump is in configuration of individual pressure stages in one line. Total number of all pressure stages is given by required specific energy. The basic stage consists of suction and delivery parts equipped with footing for attachment to the base plate. The other pressure stages are lined up between the delivery and suction bodies and coupled with them to one unit by means of external fixing bolts. In every stage of the pump there is a radial impeller with one-side inlet. The impeller is sealed on both sides with replaceable sealing rings. The pump shaft is seated on both sides in ball bearings with permanent grease charge.

Material

The CVE pumps are available in several material modifications:
LC - basic modification for normal use for chemically non-active water with pH value from 6,5 to 11, shaft and fixing bolts are made of machine steel, other parts of grey cast iron
LU - special modification for delivery of water with natural acidity coefficient (max. pH 6), impellers made of stainless chrome steel, shaft bushing of chrome alloy, other parts the same as the LC modification
BC - all-bronze modification for delivery of acid waters, hydraulic part made of bronze, shaft of chrome-nickel steel

Stuffing box

Both shaft seals are sealed with soft sealing rings. The seal on the suction side is permanently flooded against air suction from the delivery seal box through the pipe and the flooded case which is installed before the seal. In this way the delivery seal is also unloaded with any pressure.
