Utilisation
The vertical CVEV pumps are designed especially for pumping of clear drinking water and slightly polluted service water with tem-perature up to 60°C with pH value from 6 to 11 or even also for pumping of slightly polluted and turbid water with max. content of 5g sludge per one litre water with non-abrasive particles with max. grain size of 0,5 mm.
Technical description
The vertical low-pressure centrifugal multistage pump consists of following main parts:
- own hydraulic part under the set
- guide piping with shaft and bearings
- bearing suspension in upper part of the set
- vertical electric motor
The torque transmission from the driving motor to the pump shaft is provided by means of the flexible clutch and the vertical shaft which is put in the axis of the guide line.
Material
In the standard LN version for normal utilisation, i.e. pumping of chemically non-active service water with pH value from 6,5 to 8,5, the own pump body, impellers and diffusers, sealing of impellers bearing housing in the guide line and parts of the bearing suspension are made of grey cast iron, protective shaft cases of stainless steel, shaft of the set of carbon steel.
In the special LU modification impellers and spacers are made of chrome cast steel. Material of other parts corresponds with that of LN modification.
