Utilisation
The SPB pumps are especially designed for pumping of milk and other liquids in dairy industry and they are used also for delivery of filtered liquids in foodstuff industry where high hygienic standards are required, such as fruit juices, musts, mineral waters etc.
Technical description
The SPB rotary pumps are in single-staged and self-priming modification based on water circulation. Its open impeller with radial vanes is mounted on the pump shaft with possibility of axial movement. In the impeller hub there are two bores for equalising of pressures in front and behind the impeller and for water circulation in the sealing space. The suction and delivery branches are in vertical configuration upwards so that some liquid is kept in the pump to make a liquid ring necessary for air suction from the suction piping.
Material
The own hydraulic part in contact with a pumped liquid is made of chrome-nickel steel, the impeller is based on chrome-nickel-molybdenum alloy. The body connecting the hydraulic part with the mechanical one is made of stainless steel.
Stuffing box
The SPB pumps are provided with special mechanical sealing.
