Utilisation
These low-pressure and mean-pressure pumps are used for delivery of drinking, service, cooling and impure waters in municipal and industrial water plants and cooling stations. They find wide utilisation also in diverse industrial branches and water treatment plants for pumping, distribution, irrigation and cooling purposes.
These QVC pumps are designed for pumping of pure water with temperature up to 60oC and its pH value raging from 6 to 8 (modifications LO, LN), respectively from 6 to 7,5 at 20oC (modifications LB), or of impure water containing up to 5% of sludge, respectively 2% weight of hard mechanical impurities and abrasives, such as sand and grits up to 0,5 mm.
Technical description
The volute single-stage centrifugal pump is equipped with an impeller with two water inlets. Its casing is horizontally segmented in the shaft axis which enables easy and fast disassembly and reassembly without disconnection of the suction and delivery line.
Material
The QVC pumps are available in several material modifications:
LN - pump casing and impeller made of grey cast iron, shaft of structural steel
LB - impeller made of bronze, shaft of structural steel, other parts as in LN modification
LO - impeller made of steel for pump sizes 250-QVC-530 and 300-QVC-600, shaft of structural steel, other parts as in LN modification
Stuffing box
Both stuffing boxes are packed with soft packing cords or they can be sealed mechanically.
